Baby Dave, Resident Studio Tattoo Artist commenced his career at The Tattoo Gallery way back in March 2000. Congrats Dave for sticking with us this long! Dave is funny, has a dry sense of humour AND a big-hairy-man-love for all things metal – not shiny metal like baked bean cans ‘n shit, we’re talking about HEAVY METAL, Hell Yeah!
Dave’s tattoo style is varied and over the years he has developed a good solid technical ability. He covers all the bases; large colour pieces in any theme and genre, flowing script, technical Celtic, portraits, pin-ups, comic book characters and more.
Dave has also had the opportunity to tattoo some icons in the rock industry, Slash got his ‘Gitanes’ cigarette bitch on his back when they toured with Velvet Revolver back in 2006 and Phil Anselmo of Pantera/Down plus Jimmy Bower of Down/Eye Hate God managed to fit in some pain when he toured with Dio’s Heaven ‘N Hell Tour in 2007.
On a homegrown level, Se Bon Ki Ra, Clearway, The Screaming Jets, Bad Blood & Broken Bones, Ocean of Despair [ex Obdurate Seduction] + more have all had their fair share of evil from Dave’s needle - oh and that Spanish dude that fell down the cliff on his bicycle in the Tour de France a coupla years back also purchased ink compliments of Dave. That was one mangled shoulder…..proof that bicycles are the work of Satan!
