ADELAIDE INK: An exhibition of Body Art in all Mediums...
Back in February 2008, Morag received a call at The Tattoo Gallery from Noris Ioannou, Executive Director of the Nexus Gallery in Adelaide, inviting Tribal Mike to open an Exhibition called "Adelaide Ink".
The exhibition was to incorporate a 'show and tell' where people could show their tattoos and talk about what inspired them as well as canvas and other art pieces created by local artists either of or about body art.
Mike was happy to speak and officially open the exhibition and contacted some of his tattoo colleagues who could bring some relevant pieces to the exhibition and add to the dimension.
Mik Massingham of SRT [Semaphore Road Tattoo] made the cover of the Adelaide Review with his 'female and snake tattoo' on canvas.
As well as art displayed by other Adelaide Tattooers, there were pieces exhibited from local artists Deidre But-Husaim, Emma Hack, Merilyn Stock and Humna Mustafa.
