Rhett's Woven Ta Moko Tom's Ta Moko Steph's Ta Moko
Rhett
Rhett had been looking for a style of tattoo that he could wear with pride... he loved the flow and design style of this generic Maori pattern.

Thomas
Thomas Waratini has been living with his family in Adelaide for some years. A New Zealand Maori, originally from the North Island, Tom thought it time to put some history, some 'whanau' [Maori word for family, geneology] on his body - so he could see every day where he came from, what he was made of and also to remember those gone before him... It's also for his kids to see where they come from as young Maori living away from New Zealand too.

Tom's tattoo on the outside of the design is Waikato - of his Father, the centre piece is Ngati Hungaro from his Mother who came from Te Aroha. The bottom of the tattoo has three Koru [curls] symbolizing each of Tom's children, two sons and a daughter.

The final piece that Tom has yet to acquire [maybe after this rugby season is over eh Tom??] is that of his Mother's Mother - Pohara...

This tattoo was inked in one session by Tribal Mike who was honoured to give Tom his ta moko for his Whanau!! Che Bro!

Steph
Steph, a Kiwi who moved to Australia many years ago, has added this shaded Maori pattern, symbolic of the great Maori carvers in Aotearoa, to his growing collection of body art.
